The secondary display on the LG V20 has undoubtedly been its unique feature. The display let users access shortcuts and notifications on the strip of the display. The V30 is expected to come with a new floating display though it’s not clear yet on what aspect of the display will be changed. In all likelihood, the display will be redesigned to enable better interaction with notifications and shortcuts. LG further claims that the FullVision display will allow for 20 to 50 percent reduction in the upper and lower bezels as opposed to its predecessor. The P-OLED is also expected to reduce the burn in as opposed to the usual OLED and this will eventually help in achieving better battery backup. Furthermore, LG has confirmed that the LG V30 will come equipped with a 6-inch P-OLED FullVision HDR 10 display that supports Google Daydream out of the box. LG is also incorporating Crystal Clear Glass Lens, and the V30 will be the first smartphone to feature a camera with f/1.6 aperture, something that would help improve the Bokeh effect and the low light performance. Other specs include IP68, military standard protection, Gorilla Glass5 and a cooling and heating pipe. The LG V30 is also expected to boast of a Quad DAC (also found in the V20) and will collaborate with B& O for better audio experience. Needless to say, the V30 is expected to be powered by the flagship Snapdragon 835 SoC. The LG V20 has been received well by the audiophiles and the general buyers as well. Features like the removable battery and the fact that it was one of the first phones to come with Android Nougat out of the box helped the V20 further. However, a good chunk of users found lamented that the secondary screen was not utilitarian enough and the dual-camera system fell short of expectations. The slightly dated Snapdragon 821 further played the spoilsport.
