When a watch is missing from the wrist and you tend to spend a lot of time around the computer, the best option is an online alarm clock, one with a full, synchronized timer and which will notify the user using sound messages. There are more than a couple of websites capable of delivering this service and a bit more, but we’ve taken some time to check out the best, right here.
Useful Online Alarm Timers
Using an online timer will help you with important things, like showing up to a meeting, catching a bus on time, remembering to pick up your laundry, and simplifying your life. Why use another device for performing a task, when you are already camped near a computer? Moreover, some of the variants presented below have a special set of features that can turn a boring notification, into something truly funny. Even if you have a mobile device, an online alarm clock can be a handy backup alarm. You don’t need to worry if your primary alarm doesn’t go off for whatever reason.
Free Online Alarm Clock Websites
We have covered a list of free alarm clock apps earlier but here are the best free online alarm clock websites that you should check out.
1. KuKuKlok
Although it has a rather strange name, KuKu Klok is a website designed to wake up users at specific times and with a pre-defined sound. Users have the possibility of choosing between a regular rooster howl, a classic clock sound, an electronic beep (which is annoying beyond usual), a rock song, and a military trumpet. This online clock website is pretty easy to use. Simply navigate to the official address, set a timer, a sound, and then confirm your selection. Interestingly enough, KuKu Klok has the ability to function after an alarm was set, even when the internet connection has dropped.
2. Onlive Clock
Onlive Clock is the best option if you want a pleasantly personalized wake-up experience right from your computer. It’s a super simple, ad-free, and pleasantly simple alternative. With the settings, you can switch from a nature scene to a large digital clock over a large number on the screen. Select or upload a background image, and set an alarm sound. You can choose the type of clock and the color of the numbers. For the alarm tone, choose between the four built-in sounds, a built-in radio station, or a YouTube video. It also looks stunning in mobile web browsers. One disadvantage of this online alarm clock website is that you can’t set multiple alarms. There’s also no snooze button. Visit Onlive Clock
3. MetaClock
Meta Clock is a beautiful looking online alarm service which comes with an easy-to-set alarm menu and a handful of nice options. Amongst them, the service allows users to choose a notification tune from a pre-defined list (which by the way, is of pretty good taste) or to manually upload their own. Moreover, you have the option of posting something on Facebook, when the alarm rings. As a nice addition, the service has the option to show a countdown widget on a window title or to enable desktop notifications for the alarm. Visit MetaClock
4. TimeMe Alarm Clock
We chose TimeMe because it keeps things simple while integrating several useful features into its alarm clock that aren’t available on some of the other options. Aside from the ability to set many alarms up to 25, it has a color-coded cycle and is one of the few applications that lets you set multiple alarms at once. Under the clock are a number of settings that you can customize, along with large, blue numbers. In addition to adjusting the clock back and forward, you can give the clock a title, change the color/size/font of the numbers and more. You can set up multiple alarms by clicking the Alarms link below the clock. In addition to saving your clock settings, TimeMe also allows you to grab a link to it so you can easily access it later, with everything already set up. It has only one real problem, which is that it does not have the option of customizing the background. Visit TimeMe Alarm Clock
5. OnlineClock.net
OnlineClock.net is another online alarm clock that we love, thanks to its simple design and great features both on desktop and mobile browsers. You can set your alarm by clicking on the drop-down menu under a digital clock that shows the time right down to the second. The time is also accompanied by several links that take you to different clock versions and customization options. Your alarm can be set to various sounds, a timer can be set, or you can choose a background. Using the links at the top of the screen, you can also customize the size of the clock and the color of the background. While OnlineClock.net offers many options if you’re looking for something basic, its navigation and settings certainly can be confusing with all the new browser tabs opening whenever you click something. If you require multiple alarms and snooze functions, you may need to look into other products. Visit OnlineClock.net
6. Online Alarm Kur
With Online Alarm Kur, you will always know what time it is over a black background and what time your alarm is. You can select from 11 different alarm sounds, set the snooze duration and set the time the alarm goes off at. The current time will automatically be replaced by a countdown. The biggest drawback is that the large ads cover half of the screen, and there are not that many features beyond basic alarms to customize. And like Onlive Clock and OnlineClock.net, you can only set one alarm at a time. Visit Online Alarm Kur
7. vClock
There are several clock utilities in vClock, including an alarm clock, countdown timer, stopwatch, and world clock. It has a night mode; it’s customizable (colors, fonts, configurable time/date elements, full screen option); and, it has a clean interface without a lot of ads. Visit vClock
